Wellness Services in Jacksonville, FL

Proactive, expert-led support for feeling your best, from a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a deep understanding of the body. In-person and virtual sessions available.

Health Is Not Just What You Treat. It Is What You Prevent.

You do not need a diagnosis to invest in feeling better. Some of the most meaningful health work happens before something becomes a problem, or simply exists alongside a full life you are already living well. OncoPelvic PT offers a set of wellness services designed for exactly that: proactive, informed, expert-guided support for your body, delivered by Dr. Alex Hill, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with unique, specialized training in lymphatic health, oncology recovery, pelvic health, and movement science.

These sessions are wellness services, not physical therapy. They are not medically necessary, are not billed to insurance, and do not require a diagnosis or referral. What they do offer is the same level of expertise, attention, and care that has made OncoPelvic PT a trusted name in Jacksonville and beyond, applied to helping you feel genuinely well.

About Dr. Alex Hill, PT, DPT, OnCS, PWCS, CLT-LANA

Dr. Alex Hill holds dual board certifications as an Oncologic Clinical Specialist (OnCS) and a Pelvic and Women's Health Clinical Specialist (PWCS), and is a LANA-Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA). She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and completed a Women's Health Physical Therapy Residency at Duke Health.

With over 12 years of clinical experience, Dr. Alex brings that same depth of expertise to her wellness services. Whether you're here for lymphatic support, movement coaching, or general guidance, you're working with someone who deeply understands the body, in a private, unhurried setting in the Southside area of Jacksonville.

Guided Wellness Movement Sessions

Think of this as general movement coaching from someone who understands the body at a deeper level. Guided Wellness Movement Sessions are exercise sessions led by Dr. Alex for people who want expert-informed movement guidance.

These sessions are not physical therapy. They do not address a diagnosed condition, and they are not billed as a medical service. What they offer is the benefit of working with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who understands the body deeply and brings that knowledge into how she coaches your movement.

Guided Wellness Movement Sessions may be a good fit if you are:

  • Looking to move better and feel more confident in your body through general strength and mobility work

  • Seeking general flexibility and mobility guidance to move more comfortably day to day

  • In search of a knowledgeable partner in your fitness who understands movement at a deeper level

  • Curious about building strength and body confidence as you navigate a new life stage or season of life

**If you have a diagnosed condition affecting your movement, strength, or recovery, that care is provided as physical therapy rather than a wellness session, so that your treatment plan reflects the full clinical picture.

General Health and Wellness Sessions

Not every health goal fits neatly into a single category. General Health and Wellness Sessions are flexible, non-medical virtual or in-person sessions focused on supporting your overall health and wellbeing. Sessions may include coaching, education, and guidance to help you feel your best day to day, drawing on Dr. Alex’s clinical background without treating a specific diagnosed condition. General Health and Wellness Sessions are offered as single, stand-alone sessions rather than an ongoing series, so each visit is treated independently.

These sessions are especially popular with people who want the benefit of working with a highly credentialed provider but are not sure exactly which category their needs fall into. If that is you, contact us and Dr. Alex will help you figure out the right fit.

**If Dr. Alex determines during a session that your needs would be better served by physical therapy services, she will let you know and can help transition you into PT care with her, or refer you to a licensed provider in your area.

Why Wellness Services From a Physical Therapist Are Different

Wellness spaces are full of good intentions and inconsistent expertise. Dr. Alex Hill is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with dual board certifications as an Oncologic Clinical Specialist (OnCS) and Pelvic and Women's Health Clinical Specialist (PWCS), and is a LANA-Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA), with over 12 years of clinical experience. That depth of training does not disappear when the setting is wellness rather than medical treatment. It simply means you are working with someone who deeply understands the body, whatever the reason you walked in the door.

Fees and Insurance

Wellness services, including Guided Wellness Movement Sessions and General Health and Wellness Sessions, are non-medical services. They are not eligible for insurance reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid, and do not require a physician referral. Sessions are billed directly as cash-pay wellness visits.
